About the Jerusalem Creek Marina & Holiday Park
Recently under new management, the
Jerusalem Creek Marina and Holiday Park is located approximately
7km outside of the township of Eildon, a well known rural
settlement that is now the main gateway to Lake Eildon.
The park is situated at the deep water end of the Lake and has historically always had access to the lake.
Originally
developed from a green-field site in 1977, the park has steadily
grown since and now boasts over 200 permanent camp sites, with
more under development, and over 130 houseboat berths
at its
Marina. The park does not currently cater for casual camping,
however, plans are in place to develop casual
camping sites in the future.
Lake Eildon is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from
Melbourne
and can be accessed either through the Yarra Valley,
from the snowfields of
Mount
Buller, or from the
picturesque
Strathbogie
Ranges.
The Marina and Holiday Park is situated on the banks of
Lake
Eildon, just off the main
road that runs between Eildon township and Jamieson.
The area
is known for its water sports, house-boating, fishing, and high
country activities including snow skiing, mountain bike riding,
horse-riding and bushwalking.
